How do the CDBG subrecipients get their grant funding after the award is announced?
The city reimburses the subrecipient. The subrecipient is required to provide to the grant coordinator all receipts for eligible expenses with an invoice that totals the receipts submitted. The receipts are reviewed by staff to ensure that the activities being reimbursed are eligible. After the invoice is approved, the invoice is passed on for payment and a check is issued to the grantee.
