If this were paved, sure it would cost a little up front but I believe it will bring cost down as far as maintenance in the future.

It seems to me that IA has so much more to do and offer than IL. Why can't we have a few things that make people WANT to be here and shop here? I can't find a single frozen yogurt shop on this side of the river ANYWHERE. Is there one? They're developing down on John Deere Rd near 60th St, I think that would be lovely place to put a froyo shop, especially if they're already building a Sam's Club there! It would be the only froyo shop for miles around and it's right on JD Rd so it wouldn't take long to get there from wherever anyone might be.

While the city of moline owns this property we have a unique opportunity to keep this land wild and enjoy the natural beauty of moline. With hiking and biking trails already at neighboring Stephens park more trails , courtesy of Forc, more trails would be a sure bet. This land is worth much more to the community in a wild form than developed. Would one rather hike or bike a natural surface trail right here in the city or look at a concrete jungle of a nursing home or subdivision? I urge all in the neighborhood to contact the 1st ward alderman to fight to achieve this for the community.

Use Pontoon Boat to ferry people to Sylvan Island during the spring, summer and fall months.
Use a group of scheduled volunteers to operate the boats. This would keep the cost in check.

I already feel safe in Moline, yet not in any other city.
I have called PD at various jobs, every city, and had them called on me (sorry, PTSD and still seeking treatment years later... really sorry) and Moline Police Officers have always been the utmost professional, courteous, kind, and thorough.
Support Moline Police with more Officers.

Please re stripe our avenue, our parking places in front of our houses have faded. A lot of drivers think the parking places are a passing lane and drive insane down that hill even though the turning lane does not appear till you get to 33rd Street. I have mowed our grass and stepped into the parking area in front of our house and just about got hit by someone using that as a passing lane. This happens all the time and it is dangerous. Yesterday as I had my turning signal on to pull into my driveway, another driver was using the lane improperly and just about caused an accident.
