News from the Bi-State Regional Commission
The Illinois Quad Cities’ local governments of East Moline, Moline, Rock Island and Silvis, and MetroLINK public transit are conducting a transportation corridor study of Illinois 92. The ten mile corridor from the Centennial Bridge in Rock Island to Illinois 5 in Silvis links the downtowns. It is an important corridor for commerce and carrying vehicles and non-motorized travelers. A travel survey is being launched to get feedback on how area residents travel and whether they use the Illinois 92 corridor for work, school, shopping or other trips.

The survey will run until the end of December.
The corridor study is supported by Illinois Statewide Planning and Research funds. The lead consultant working on the project is Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. The study is anticipated to be completed in Spring 2020.
