Refund Policy         

Refund Policy In the event of insufficient registration or other circumstances beyond our control, it may be necessary to cancel classes, programs or special events. In such cases, you will be notified and a full refund will be issued.  The following refund policies will apply:
Classes/Programs/Special Events: Up to one week prior to the class/program, full refund less $5 administration fee per registration. No refunds, transfers or credits will be given within one week of start date/date of event and thereafter.
Leagues: No refunds will be issued after schedules have been posted.
Trips: No refunds will be issued unless space can be filled with wait list registrations. If your space can be filled, full refund, less $5 administration fee per registration, will be issued.
Facility Rentals (Garden Center, Cellar, Shelters):  All reservations and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Social Media Policy

Comments containing any of the following inappropriate content will not be permitted on the City of Moline’s social media sites and are subject to removal and/or restriction by the Administrator or his/her designees:

1. Obscene, sexual, or pornographic content and/or language
2. Content that promotes discrimination on the basis of race, age, religion, gender
3. Content that violates a legal ownership interest (copyright or trademark)
4. Threats to any person
5. Conduct that violates any federal, state, or local law or encourages illegal activity
6. Promotion of any commercial activities not related to City of Moline business
7. Spam or links to malware/viruses
8. Content that advocates or promotes a candidate, referendum, or campaign

A comment posted by a member of the public on any City of Moline social media site is the opinion of the poster only, and publication of a comment does not imply endorsement of, or agreement by, the City of Moline, nor do the comments necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of the City of Moline.

The City of Moline reserves the right to deny access to City of Moline social media sites for any individual who violates the City of Moline’s social media policy, at any time and without prior notice.

All comments posted to any City of Moline Facebook site are bound by Facebook’s terms of use and the City of Moline reserves the right to report any violation of Facebook’s terms of use to Facebook with the intent of Facebook taking appropriate and reasonable responsive action.

Users who enter private or personal information on City of Moline social media sites do so at their own risk, and the City of Moline is not responsible for any damages resulting from the public display of, or failure to remove, private or personal information. This policy and terms of use may be amended from time-to-time, without further notice.

Photo Policy

Moline may video tape or take photographs of participants enrolled in activities, classes, or programs or may take photographs of people in Moline parks. These photographs and/or video tapes are for use in future program magazines, brochures, promotional literature, social media or for use on cable television. Parents or others may take audio or video recordings of the participants and that Moline does not supervise or restrict recordings of public activities by third parties.

Memorial Policy

As of July 2017, plaques will only be placed with purchase of a memorial bench. Once placed, the City will not be responsible for replacement of any damaged or stolen benches or plaques. To preserve the integrity of our parks, we ask that you refrain from decorating brick pavers and benches. The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to remove and discard any decorations that are placed. Age Policy

All participants must be the age indicated by the first day of the program/league/special event. No exceptions. 

Swim Lesson Rescheduling Policy

Lessons will not be rescheduled for personal reasons. If the lesson was canceled due to weather or an unforeseen closure of the pool, the lesson director will try to coordinate a make-up lesson. This does not guarantee that the make-up lesson will be at the same time, day of the week or instructor as the originally scheduled lesson.
