A Message from the Fire Chief
As the Fire Chief for the City of Moline, and on behalf of the firefighters serving you daily, I would like to welcome you to the Moline Fire Department website.
The Moline Fire Department continuously attempts to stay connected with the public. Through our website, social media channels and personal interaction, we strive to keep you informed about what's going on within our department, and likewise, we welcome any input from you, the citizens we serve.
I am extremely grateful, humbled and proud to lead such an amazing group of firefighters from an organization steeped in such rich tradition and history. From horse-drawn buggies to the amazing fire suppression vehicles you see responding through the streets of Moline today, we have come a long way, and it will continue to be our goal to progress forward into the future by incorporating new skills, techniques, and today's technology to better serve the community.
The Moline Fire Department serves 43,000 residents and covers 17 square miles. In the course of a year, we respond to nearly 8,000 emergency calls that range from fires and medical calls to incidents involving hazardous materials, technical rescues and automobile accidents. We also interact with thousands of residents through our fire prevention services and safety education programs. Throughout all we do, we see our residents and businesses not just as customers we serve, but as partners in keeping our community safe and healthy.
We thank you for your continued support and partnership as we grow as a fire department. Please know that you are always welcome to reach out to us if you ever have a question or concern as your opinion matters to each and every one of us, and we are dedicated to serving you.
Best regards,
Steven G. Regenwether
