Lori Turner has lived in Moline for over 20 years. She was elected to the City Council in May of 2007 to represent Ward 5. Her current term will expire on May 1, 2019.

Alderman Turner actively supports public safety, revitalizing the downtown, encouraging family activities and curbside recycling. 


Alderman Turner is active in the community as Head of the Advisory Board of Lydia Home Association, and an Active member of the Rock Island County Medical Society Alliance. She is past president of the Illini Hospital Foundation, and past president of the Moline High School Choral Music Parents Association. She attends Faith Lutheran Church and has served on numerous committees.


Alderman Turner is a graduate of Sumner High School, Sumner, Iowa. She received Dental Assistant Training in the United States Navy, where she served for five years. She worked in the oral surgery field for an additional five years. Alderman Turner is currently a homemaker and community volunteer.

Family & Free Time
In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, baking, and outdoor activities. She and her husband Mike have three children.
