Moline Parks and Recreation offers numerous special events throughout the year for Moline residents and members of the surrounding communities. All events are seasonal. Easter Egg Hunt - Join us every year, the weekend before Easter for a fun Easter Egg Hunt at Riverside Park Field for children ages 8 and under. We'll have music, a bounce house and more!

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt - 
New in 2017, the Parks Department has added an additional Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 9-12. Held at Riverside Park Field, kids will search for candy-filled eggs using flashlights once the sun goes down.

Celebrate Arbor Day - Moline residents are invited to help us celebrate Arbor Day with a tree giveaway and other activities. Trees will only be given to Moline residents, proof of residency required.

Touch-a-Truck - 
Help us kick off National Public Works Week with a fun, family-friendly event at Moline Public Works. Kids will get to sit in and learn about different vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, skid loaders, tractors and many more!

Flag Day - 
Moline Memorial Park Cemetery will celebrate Flag Day with an evening of patriotic music and a flag retirement. Bring your own lawn chairs.

Back to School Bash -
 Head to Riverside Family Aquatic Center for a $1.00 swim day during Back to School Bash. Backpacks and school supplies are also given out to the first 100 children. Enjoy music and inflatables too!

Movie at the Ballpark -
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, or sit in the bleachers for a family movie night at Greenvalley Sports Complex. Admission is
free and concessions will be available.

Music on the Mississippi - Join us on select Monday evenings (all Mondays except Labor Day) in September for live music and dancing. Concerts run from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Admission is FREE.

Echoes from Riverside - The last Saturday in September, Moline Parks and Recreation invites you to take a leisurely stroll back in time and visit with Moline's early citizens, who are portrayed by local, costumed thespians. Walking tours last approximately 1-1.5 hours.

Spooktacular - Join us for a spooktacular time every October at Prospect Park. Participants can enjoy story time, a wiener roast, trick-or-treating and a magic show!

Shopping Trips - Let's go shopping! The Moline Parks Department takes a bus trip to Woodfield Mall every November and another to Downtown Chicago every other December.

Dad Daughter Date Night - Moline Parks and Recreation hosts a Dad Daughter Date Night every February. Participants will enjoy music, dancing, treats and other fun activities.
