Fire Station Locations
MOLINE FIRE DEPARTMENT
CENTRAL STATION

In 1972 the City
of Moline constructed the Police/Fire
Emergency Center. This building houses the
Moline Police Department as well as the Fire
Department’s central station including all
administrative offices. The fire department’s
portion of the building is a six bay apparatus
area with offices, classrooms and living
quarters located directly above.
Administrative offices located here include
the Fire Chief, four Deputy Chiefs, the Fire
Marshal and the Training Officer.
A Deputy Chief who
is the shift commander, one Captain, one
Engineer and 3 Firefighter/Paramedics all of
whom work a 24-hour shift, man the station.
Apparatus housed
here include District 11, the shift command
vehicle, Engine 11, Ambulance 11, the
department’s two rescue boats along with
various staff vehicles and equipment trailers.

ENGINE 11
Engine 11 is
staffed with a Captain, an engineer and a
firefighter/paramedic. This vehicle is fully
equipped with advanced life support equipment.

STATION 2

Built in 1980,
Station 2 (also know as Station 12) replaced
the “Old Station 2”, which was built in the
early 1900’s. This station was built in the
southern reaches of the city to protect the
growing commercial and residential area.
Station 2 is a two bay station manned by three
firefighters, 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. This station houses Engine 12 and Truck
12.

ENGINE 12
Custom
Fire Apparatus manufactured Engine 12 in 1997.
It was built on a Freightliner chassis
incorporating a 1500 GPM Waterous pump.
A Lieutenant,
engineer and a firefighter/paramedic man this
engine. The engine is fully equipped with
advanced life support equipment.
TRUCK 12
Truck 12 was
manufactured in 1998 by Pierce Manufacturing
Inc. located in
Appleton WI. The
vehicle contains a 100’ aerial platform
equipped with a 2000 GPM Waterous two-stage
pump.


Truck
12 is manned by a Lieutenant, engineer and a
firefighter/paramedic and is equipped with
advanced life support equipment. This vehicle
also carries a complete set of extrication
equipment (the “jaws of life”) used to
disentangle motor vehicle accident victims.

STATION 3

Station
3 (also known as Station 13) was one of two
stations built in 1995. This station replaced
Station 5 located on Avenue of the Cities,
which was built in 1957. Station 3 is a two
bay station manned by five firefighters, 24
hours a day seven days a week. Engine 13 and
ambulance 13 are stationed here.

ENGINE 13
Custom
Fire Apparatus, in Osceola, WI, manufactured
engine 13 in 1994. This piece of apparatus was
built on a Peterbuilt chassis with a 1500 GPM
Waterous pump.
Engine 13 is
staffed with a Lieutenant, engineer and a
firefighter/ paramedic. This engine is also
fully equipped with advanced life support
equipment.

STATION 4

Station
4 (also known as Station 14) was one of two
stations built in 1995. This station replaced
“Old Station 4” which was built in 1910 and
originally housed a horse drawn apparatus.
Station 4 is a two bay station manned by three
firefighters 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. Engine 14 is stationed here along with
various equipment trailers.

TRAINING CENTER

The fire
department’s training facility is “Old Station
4”. This fire station was closed in 1991 when
the new facility was completed. The fire
department’s air supply vehicle is housed here
and manned by the Second Alarmers, who have
provided service to the Moline Fire Department
and citizens of Moline for 50 years.
