Lead Contractor Training

The City of Moline Planning and Development Department is hosting training sessions for lead contractors.  The course information, registration and brochure are linked below.

Lead Paint Abatement Worker

This course is accredited by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). Course syllabus includes:

  • personal protection
  • medical surveillance
  • regulations and guidelines
  • engineering controls and work practices
  • exposure limits
  • abatement strategies and planning

$527.00 per person (24 hours).  June 3-5, 2019

Lead Paint Abatement Supervisor

This course focuses on removal and encapsulation of lead-based paint and covers the training guidelines established by HUD for those who supervise or oversee projects where lead-based paint is disturbed. Topics include:

  • legal issues
  • supervisory techniques
  • air monitoring
  • record keeping
  • topics covered in Worker course

$697.00 per person (32 hours).  June 3-6, 2019

Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair and Painting

This course is in accordance with OSHA 40 CFR 745, the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule and HUD Lead Safe Housing Rule. Topics include:

  • RRP rule
  • lead safe work practices
  • set up procedures
  • personal protection equipment
  • dust control
  • clean up practices
  • record keeping
  • hands on experiences

$252.00 per person (8 hours).  June 7, 2019
